Opened by Vince Roy in December 1980, we are one of the oldest leather bars in Texas. Located in the heart of Houston's gay area, Montrose, The Ripcord has been a staple of the areas large leather community for over 30 years, hosting a multitude of events, fundraisers and good old fun. Join us for annual events including the Anniversary party, Mr. Prime Choice and LUEY, as well as a multitude of events hosted by the clubs that call us home.

Pick up your leather needs in the Black Hawk leather shop inside the bar, and enjoy after hours until 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar opens at 1 pm Monday thru Friday, noon on Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and have a drink on our large outdoor patios and make some new acquaintances.
